What is InterVapor™?
People with emphysema experience an inability to breathe because diseased lung tissue prevents the lungs from contracting normally. The InterVapor procedure sets into motion a process that contributes to the remodeling of the lung and the reduction of areas of emphysema to create “more breathing space” and allow patients to breathe more fully.
After a short procedure, the patient’s body undergoes its healing process in response to the targeted vapor thermal effect; thereby causing lung volume reduction, a process designed to improve lung function and the room to breathe.
The System uses three interrelated parts:

[c_3 first="true"]IP3™ (InterVapor Personalized Procedure Program™) is developed for each patient prior to the procedure based upon his/her unique physiology and condition. The physician uses IP3 to determine the precise amount of thermal vapor to produce the lung remodeling effect.[/c_3]
[c_2]The InterVapor Generator is the device that delivers the controlled, precise amount of thermal vapor energy.[/c_2]
[c_3 last="true"]The InterVapor Catheter transports the precise thermal vapor deep within the diseased areas of the patient’s lungs to the target locations identified in the IP3.[/c_3]
